United States only All trailers with a GVWR more than 4536 kg Trailers with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 4536 kg or more are admissible for entry into the RIV program on condition they do not meet a criteria outlined in the inadmissible column |
All trailers from Mexico Trailers without a valid and legible manufacturer issued 17-character Vehicle Identifier Number (VIN) are inadmissible Trailers without a valid U.S. FMVSS manufacturing statement of compliance label or equivalent letter from the manufacturer are inadmissible |
